About Matt

Matthew R. Pauly was raised on a farm in rural Kansas.  He quickly realized that his love of drawing did not help with harvest or feeding the steers, so he enrolled in architecture.   After earning his Masters in Architecture  from the University of Kansas, he moved to New York City and earned his MS of Advanced Architecture Design at Columbia GSAPP.

He has  lived in Paris, researched in Kenya, and worked extensively in South Korea.

After a four year stint in New York City, he currently works for Gould Evans Associates in Kansas City  and is a founding member of Opticon Films.
